About Seven Sisters Apothecary

We are dedicated to creating a custom-crafted, specialty product, made exactly for you.

Growing up a black sheep in a family full of black sheep, you can easily grow curious about the more unique members of your family history. The Seven Sutherland Sisters were musicians from Cambria, New York, with a collective hair length of 37 feet.

Traveling with Barnum and Bailey Circus, they later branched off, becoming millionaires by selling hair growers, scalp cleansers, combs, and hair colorators. Sadly, they all died penniless, but their story lives on in my family. My grandma, Barb Sutherland, kept with the tradition and had incredibly long hair herself. It is in honor of those family stories and aspirations that my company is named Seven Sisters Apothecary.

Hi! My name is Aaron LeBlanc. I have an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, and have dreams of getting licensed in Aromatherapy and Nutrition. I have been studying essential oils since 2011. In 2016, I moved to Hawaii I and am excited to apply what I learn in this unique and wonderful area to my business.

My most frequently referenced books are “Essential Oil Safety” by Robert Tesserand and Rodney Young, “The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy” by Valeria Ann Worwood, and “Essential Oils Pocket Edition” by Life Sciences Publishing.

My business, Seven Sisters Apothecary, and I are dedicated to several principals. To create, along with you the client, a custom crafted, specialty product- made for exactly what you want. To inform people about the importance of what they use to clean and maintain their homes and themselves. To support thriving local relationships with other small businesses owners. To recycle whenever possible, combined with reducing and reusing packaging.
